  • MJN13 Progress Log

    Hi Everyone,

I started at 6.25" BPEL (5.5" NBPEL) x 4.375" when I first started PE. I did manual work to gain .75" x .5" then gained .25" x.125" with the LG Hanger (approximately 250 hours of hang time). I'm currently at 7.25"x5". After getting a few bloody blisters, I returned to manual PE for a few months but gained nothing. I realize that the LG is the only way to get multi inch gains. I will be updating every 125 hours of hang time because I think my easy gains are done.

I'm currently alternating between an hourly a) heavy hang (15 lbs) b) lighter bundle hang (8lbs) and c) lighter fulcrum hang (8lbs). Each session starts with a 20 minute warmup, 10 minutes of 8lbs, and 10 minutes of 10 lbs. I started my first heavy hang at 10' of 15lbs and add 1 minute every 3 sessions (when I return to the heavy hang of the 3 exercise rotation). Once I build up to 30' of 15 lbs, I will add 1 pound to each part of the rotation, i.e. 16.25 lbs of heavy hang and 8.75 lbs for the fulcrum and bundles and start the process again. This will be about 90 sessions for each set of weights... Hopefully this variety will trigger new growth! Currently at 50 hours of hang time in this progression. I'll be updating at the 125 hour mark!

Sounds like a solid routine with a well thought out progression. This is precisely why I always said that PE with the LG Hanger is rather intuitive. You must learn to moderate the increases in time and weight in order to avoid a blister. Everyone is different, so there are no cookie cutter formulas to gains.

Remember to follow all your hang work with aggressive hand stretches to take full advantage of the fatigue!

      100 hour update

Happy to report I have logged 100 hours of hang time since my last update. Also I've gained a solid 1/8th inch in length and 1/8th inch in girth. This brings me to 7.375x5.125...

I'm currently still alternating between a heavy hang (15 lbs) , a lighter fulcrum hang (8 lbs), and a lighter bundle hang (8 lbs). About to increase the weight on all of these routines by 1 pound.

Just wanted to chime in that I'm at 7.5x5.125 now. I've been tracking my progress pretty specifically since I gained an inch. I estimate that took 1,000 hours of work. So here's a breakdown of how long I have trained since I gained an inch, in hours. Hopefully this helps but a timetable in perspective after "newbie" gains. This amount has given me .25" after that first inch.

(hang hours, hand stretch hours, jelq hours, clamp hours, ADS hours)
      (158, 25.55, 13.15, 7.4, 268)

currently hanging 16 lbs, and also doing bundle and fulcrums at 9 lbs.

Awesome progress MJN13!!! Thank you for keeping us informed and documenting your training with wear time and poundage. It took me a full year of training to gain my first inch. I never kept track of the hours, but I typically did two 1 hour hang sessions per day along with 10-20 minutes of hand stretching after my hang session.
